SELECTION OF ACHIEVEMENT CRITERIA
³ûÖÊÓƵ identifies, evaluates, and publishes multiple student achievement metrics that are appropriate to our mission, student body, and programs offered. Three metrics were selected for our undergraduate Student Achievement: retention, graduation rate, and licensure rates. For our graduate programs, licensure and bar pass rates are tracked. Committees comprised of cross-campus representation set goals and monitor our performance on these measures. Generally, goals and minimum performance standards are based on historic data, peer and aspirant group performance or national standards.
Retention and graduation rate dashboards reflect criteria supported by federal compliance reporting standards under the Integrated Postsecondary Educational Data System (IPEDS) which falls under the purview of the Department of Education. IPEDS provides a publicly available data source via the IPEDS Data Center, the College Navigator, and the College Affordability and Transparency Act.
RETENTION RATE
Retention rates indicate the number of first-time, full-time students (FTFT) who started in a fall semester and returned the following fall semester. We follow the methodology used for federal compliance reporting standards under the Integrated Postsecondary Data System (IPEDS).
Targets were set for first-time, full-time student.
Threshold for Success = 85%
Minimum Threshold of Acceptability = 70%
GRADUATION RATES
Graduation rates represent the number of first-time, full-time undergraduate, degree-seeking students in a fall cohort who graduate in either 4, 5, or 6 years from the university. The selected methodology follows the federal compliance reporting standards under the Inter-Postsecondary Data System (IPEDS) :
First-time, full-time students
Targets were set for first-time, full-time students:
Threshold for Success = 70%
Minimum Threshold of Acceptability= 55%
Additionally, we set a target for first-time, full-time Pell recipients.
Threshold for Success = 65%
Minimum Threshold of Acceptability= 55%
Non-first-time, full-time students (transfers)
The graduation rates of transfer students are tracked and reported using the IPEDS Outcome Measure survey and based on a six-year graduation rate.
Targets were set for full-time transfer students:
Threshold for Success = 75%
Minimum Threshold of Acceptability= 55%
Additionally, we set a target for full-time transfer Pell recipients.
Threshold for Success = 75%
Minimum Threshold of Acceptability= 55%

POST GRADUATION OUTCOMES
The Office of Career Services collects information on the first destination of our students after graduation. The office collects information about outcomes based on NACE (National Association of Colleges and Employers) definitions and includes both career and non-career outcomes.
