The Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA) will host a free public screening of the first hour of the season six premiere of “Downton Abbey on Masterpiece” from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 21 at ֭Ƶ. The event will be held in the Kerr McGee Auditorium in the Meinders School of Business at N.W. 27th Street and McKinley Avenue.
The “Downton Abbey” experience is a pre-screening event where fans are encouraged to dress as their favorite character and enjoy tea and photos. Costume contest winners are announced before the screening. The “Downton Abbey” experience takes place for the first 40 minutes of the scheduled timeframe. Screenings begin promptly following the “Downton Abbey” experience.
Seating is limited and online reservations are required. Fans may register online. The screening is sponsored by OERB.
The final season of “Downton Abbey on Masterpiece” starts Jan. 6 on OETA-HD.
